Ever wonder what it'd be like to drive head on into a rim and tire? Well here you go. Apparently this guy was driving on a CA freeway when an air born Dayton wheel from the opposite side of traffic hit this guys E36 M3. Image traveling 70 mph and smashing into a wheel going 70 mph in the opposite direction. Ouch.
Thankfully the driver seems ok save a hole in his throat. I actually had this happen to me on the Dumbarton Bridge a couple years ago, but instead of a wheel it was a couch. Oh and my skills allowed me to stop in time. I had never had to brake that hard before. The couch slid across the lanes of traffic and as I was watching in my rear view mirror I see the next car behind me smash into it. Needless to say I was lucky. Sorry no pics of that.
